PRIVACY POLICY
Your family’s care story should stay your family’s.
Last updated August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NurtureCanvas collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. NurtureCanvas is operated by Anchor & Sail Psychological Services LLC (“Anchor & Sail,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Scope and relationship to clinical services
This policy applies to the NurtureCanvas website, account, and care-organization application. NurtureCanvas is a consumer product, not a healthcare provider or electronic health record. Using NurtureCanvas does not create a therapist-client, clinician-patient, or other professional relationship with Anchor & Sail. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, information in NurtureCanvas is not part of a psychotherapy or medical record and the service is not offered on behalf of a HIPAA-covered provider.
Information we collect
- Account information: signed-in email address, name, account identifiers, consent and policy-acknowledgment records, and subscription status.
- Care information you choose to provide: household and care-profile details; dates of birth; observations; symptoms; appointments; medication records; questions; provider, school, agency, or caregiver contacts; and uploaded health, education, legal, or care documents.
- Support and transaction information: messages you send us and limited billing records such as subscription status and Stripe transaction references. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Technical information: security, request, device, browser, and network information generated when the service is used, including IP address and sign-in/session information.
Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes our handling of consumer health data and the rights that may apply to it.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate the account; store and organize user-entered care records by profile; create briefs the user reviews; retrieve documents; operate subscriptions; provide support; prevent abuse; troubleshoot and secure the service; comply with law; and enforce our Terms. NurtureCanvas does not use care content to diagnose, recommend treatment, assess risk, determine eligibility, or independently make decisions about a person.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, follow your direction, protect the service and its users, complete a business transaction, or comply with law. Current service-provider categories include authentication and application hosting, cloud network/database/object storage, billing and payment processing, and professional support. OpenAI services provide ChatGPT sign-in and Sites delivery; Cloudflare infrastructure provides network, database, and object-storage services; and Stripe processes checkout and billing. These providers process information under their own terms and our service arrangements.
Adding someone to a care circle does not give that person access. NurtureCanvas does not automatically send care records, briefs, or documents. You deliberately decide when to download, copy, print, or otherwise share them.
No ads, sale, or cross-site tracking
NurtureCanvas does not display third-party advertising, sell personal information or consumer health data, use care content for targeted advertising, or embed advertising pixels in the product. We do not permit a third party to collect consumer health data in NurtureCanvas over time and across unrelated websites or online services.
Retention, export, correction, and deletion
Account information and care content are generally retained while your account is active so we can provide the service you requested. You can correct most care information in the app, download a structured copy from Settings, and permanently delete saved care records and uploaded documents. After deletion, limited information may remain for a short period in protected logs or backups, or where retention is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or law. We do not keep care content merely to advertise to you.
Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to confirm our processing, access, correct, export, or delete information; withdraw consent or ask us to stop future collection; and obtain information about disclosures. Use the in-app controls or email info@sailpsych.com. We may verify the request through the signed-in account and may need evidence that you are authorized to act for another person. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Security
Private care routes require sign-in, and server-side checks separate one account’s stored records and documents from another’s. We use encrypted connections, restricted service access, file-type and size controls, private caching rules, and other administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a protected email account and device, sign out of shared devices, and store only information needed for care coordination.
Children and information about other people
NurtureCanvas accounts are for adults age 18 or older. The service is not directed to children and does not let a child create a NurtureCanvas account. An adult may create a care profile for a child or another person only when the adult has appropriate authority to collect, store, and share that person’s information. Caregivers remain responsible for applicable agency policies, court orders, consent requirements, education and healthcare privacy rules, and local law.
Security incidents
We investigate suspected unauthorized access, acquisition, or disclosure and will notify affected people and regulators when required by applicable law. If you believe an account or record has been exposed, email info@sailpsych.com promptly.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy and effective date, and will provide an additional notice in the service or by email when a material change requires it. Where required, we will obtain consent before collecting or using new categories of consumer health data for a new purpose.
